Description
The successful candidate for this position will provide development and operational support of Oracle Financials Application. The application consists of Oracle Financials version 11.5.9 utilizing the modules GL, AP, AR, Projects, HR, FA, OTL and OIE running iAS version 1.2.2.2. It is a purchased and customized application, running on a Unix server with an Oracle 9i database. Development and support activities may extend to other business applications required for accounting and other financial business functions.

The candidate will be responsible for general development including: creating and maintaining Oracle forms and reports, Oracle Discoverer 10g reports, PL/SQL programs, UNIX scripts, SQL reports, as well as performing general system administration duties. In addition, there will be a need to write several data extracts for converting over to a new ERP system. The candidate will partner with client system owners to complete work using the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology (PMM) guidelines. This includes conducting feasibility studies, estimating development efforts, developing functional and detailed specifications, modifying, testing, and implementing new or revised application programs, on new and existing application platforms. For IS&T, this will include working closely with other internal teams in the maintenance and operations of the application server and web server software and Oracle database.
