Description
Title: Object Oriented Developer

Duration: 4 + months

Location: Des Moines, IA

The successful candidate must meet the requirements and possess the experience and capabilities listed below:

• Able to start immediately.
•A work history demonstrating dependability.
•At least three (3) years experience doing object oriented programming in PHP and/or Java. (Bulk of work will be using PHP, so preference will be given for that experience, but similar Java experience will be considered.)
•Skilled in multiple design patterns with expertise using a Model-View-Controller implementation.
•Experience using Object Relational Mapping (ORM) implementations like Hibernate, Torque and Propel.
•Experience using JUNIT or PHPUnit for unit tests.
•SQL programming, specifically MySQL.
•Experience in data modeling, stored procedures and triggers.
•Intermediate knowledge of XML.
•Hands-on experience with SOAP-based web services preferred.
•Basic Unix or Linux skills (navigating file system, executing scripts and basic commands).
•Basic understanding of networking (required for troubleshooting).
•Basic experience installing and configuring the Apache web server.
•Experience installing and deploying applications with PEAR preferred.
•Possess strong analytical skills including troubleshooting and problem solving.
•Ability to gather technical requirements and work with technical staff to define requirements.
•Possess strong communications skills.
•Able to work on multiple concurrent projects.
•Ability to work within project management and SDLC processes.
•Possess superior soft skills including the ability to: work with clients, negotiate requirements between stakeholders, work on a team, to lead and facilitate meetings, and the ability to adapt to existing processes.
•Ability to complete assignments timely and submit weekly status reports indicating progress on assigned tasks, performance against assigned project due dates, and identification and suggested resolution for issues having a potential to adversely impact performance and/or the project.df-tc
