Skills:

• Ontap experience - Can demonstrate proficiency in using Netapp interfaces (Filerview and command line) to query filers for volume usage and host permissions.
• Snapmirror - Understanding of snapmirroring on how to do a Source to New Source move, experience with setting up a snapmirror.
• DFM - Generate reports for qtree owners and cost centers using DFM webpage.
• Migration -Understanding of netapp permissions (NFS and CIFS), able to ensure the same level of security exists at new filer storage location including qtrees and volumes.
• Volume quotas -Good understanding of setting up quotas and should be able to tell how to set up a volume quota.
• UNIX/LINUX - Basic skills such as using commands, mounting file systems, Scripting (ability to modify scripts and write scripts), Korn Shell
• Windows - Drive mapping and system permission viewing using administration tools such as Computer Management.
• Good communications skills, can perform duties with minimal intervention from others, able to ensure all lines of business are included in communications regarding migrations and in cross impacts for change records

Roles and Responsibilities:
Build and Decomm of NAS Gear, including:

• Back End SnapMirrror setup/configuration
• Permission configuration on the New Filer to equal what currently is in place
• Configuration of SnapSHot schedule to mirror what is currently in place
• Status Updates on Success or Failure of migration
• Participate in planning meetings for migrations
• Work with OS support teams to resolve any O/S, hardware, or network based issues
• Documenting/reporting on every implementation and migration
• Troubleshoot issues
• Other duties as assigned
