Job Family Description: Responsible for the engineering planning, design, implementation, and operation of Unix and Windows Midrange computing platforms for n-Tier application architectures. Responsibilities include research and development of new technology and engineering best practices, as well as the implementation of complex and comprehensive solutions for enterprise and Line of Business applications.

Required Skills:
UNIX Engineer - Intermediate Level, Currently Using with 6+ years combined experience.
WebSphere - Intermediate Level, Currently Using with 4-6 years combined experience.

Additional Skills:
Build, configure and maintain AIX 5.3/AIX 6.1 Operating Systems
Install and support BoKS Keon implementations including LAT creation
Build and maintain AIX servers in a VIO environment
Troubleshoot and provide technical analysis concerning operating system, network, and application performance issues to resolution
Maintain operating system and application software patch levels on all servers
Create detailed technical documentation relating to operating system, application build, server build, performance, and stability recommendations
Provide timely and effective communication on technical matters
Advanced knowledge of AIX Operating Systems
Intermediate knowledge of VIO
Intermediate knowledge of BoKS Keon
Intermediate knowledge Websphere Application Server
Intermediate knowledge of the following 3rd party application software desirable
Control -M
MQ Series
Symantec ESM

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include configuration, maintenance, and on-going support of AIX based server operating system environments for the Retail server environment. Specific responsibilities include:

1. Operating system security remediation according to ITRM standards
2. Daily maintenance of support ticket queue
3. Build, configure and maintain AIX servers leveraging VIO
4. Install, maintain and troubleshoot Websphere installations
5. Manage code deployments to Websphere instances
6. Support and drive BoKS Keon implementations
7. Partner with application teams to create Logical Access Tables (LAT) in support of BoKS Keon implementations
