We are Juice Wireless, a 3.5 year old start up based in Los Angeles, California.  We make JuiceCaster (www.juicecaster.com).  JuiceCaster is an award winning mobile social broadcasting utility.   JuiceCaster lets you post pictures and videos right from your camera phone to your online pages on sites such as MySpace and Facebook and directly to other mobile phone users.  You can also watch, rate and comment on the latest videos right from your phone.  Use JuiceCaster to stay in touch with current friends and make new ones.  JuiceCaster is available across multiple platforms, including mobile application, WAP site, Flash widget for websites, and Windows desktop application.

Summary of Job Requirements

The Operations Manager reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company.  This is a key role in the company; the hub that holds the wheel together.  Juice Wireless operates on an aggressive 1-4 month development cycle and thus requires a candidate who can stay on target in a fast paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing technical, design and non-technical resources in a team environment to attain common goals. Experience in the mobile development space is not required; however the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge of this industry is a must.  This position requires superior organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability take the initiative and to drive key strategic initiatives to completion and on time.

Below are some of the tasks that you will manage:

• The candidate will lead and manage the recruiting and hiring process as the company’s needs grow. 

• The candidate will be responsible for organizing and filing contracts, specification documents, technical documents, etc.

• The candidate will be the primary point of contact for our external partners such as SMS aggregators, billing companies, testing firms, etc. and should have experience managing partners and vendors.

• The candidate will create and maintain our current and growing inventory  and will be charged with enforcing a process for procurement of new phones.

• The candidate will need to work closely with his/her team as well as high level executives to ensure that deadlines are made.  The deadlines are aggressive.

• A BS/BA from a major 4 year University.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.

This candidate will be a key part of the technical team!  You will not only help design and architect our future solutions -- you will also be getting your hands dirty actually building our next generation products.  This is an exciting job for a highly motivated and extremely sharp individual.  Compensation is competitive including stock options.  Relocation reimbursement and/or Visa Sponsorship are also possible.
