Description


One of our direct clients in the greater Charlotte area has an opening for an Operations Support Administrator. This is a Contract-to-Hire position where the selected candidate will work a 3 month contract period before being converted to a permanent hire employee.

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of AS400 Operations experience, along Veritas/NetBackup experience. Also needed for this position is at least 2-3 years of IT HelpDesk/Call Center experience.

Job Functions include:

* Assist global users and administrators via Helpdesk.
* Install and maintain hardware and communication systems.
* Execute desktop and printer adds, moves, and changes.
* Support Data Center Infrastructure (network, communications, electrical, mechanical and environmental, racking and cabling).
* Operations: monitor network, environmental and backups, submit backups, media handling, Xerox printing and maintain corresponding system logs and documents.
* Support and provide coverage for Operators and Operations Support Technician as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
* 75 lbs lifting required; overtime required.
