Ajilon Consulting is seeking a Senior Oracle 10g DBA to support our financial services client in a Unix / Linux environment. Your responsibilities will include performance tuning of Oracle PL/SQL applications and SQL queries, providing production operations on-call support, etc.

Experience/Skills
Required skills:

. Demonstrated hands on experience as an Oracle DBA. Oracle 10g experience is required.
. Performance tuning of Oracle PL/SQL applications, and SQL queries, from a DBA standpoint.
. Data import / export experience, using both traditional import / export, as well as Data Pump
. Ability to debug long running PL/SQL and SQL statements.
. Experience setting up standby databases with Oracle Data Guard
. ETL experience, using various tools such as SQL*Loader, Data Warehouse, Materialized Views, etc.
. Demonstrated hands-on experience in Solaris and Linux UNIX environments, including interaction with external file systems (SAN, NAS)
. Strong experience writing and debugging UNIX shell scripts, particularly when used to invoke Oracle jobs (must know how to write shell scripts, not just modify existing shell scripts)
. Experience using and modifying crontab
. Demonstrated experience with Operations Support as this position will require periodic on-call support during off hours
. Self starter, capable of assuming difficult technical debugging and configuration tasks in an existing Production environment. Must also have the ability to work on a team.
. Good written and oral communications skills
. Experience working with remote / offshore teams

Desired skills:

. Experience with Oracle 10g Real Application Cluster (RAC) is a strong plus.
. Oracle Grid Control for monitoring and configuration a strong plus
