BCS has been asked to identify a talented Oracle Application Tester with Programming Experience and Exposure for one of our clients in Cleveland Ohio.

The initial duration of this project is 12 months.

Scope of work:

Candidate will be part of a team responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of the client applications.

You will work directly with members of the Project Management Office and the user community to identify and document acceptance criteria for all user testing events.

Candidate will analyze functional and technical requirements and translate these specifications into valid test plans.

Candidate will also be responsible for the analysis and resolution of system/software failures, analysis of the cause of failures and implementing preventative measures.

Candidate will participate in system requirements reviews, critical design reviews, test readiness reviews and post implementation reviews as part of the CMMI.

Candidate will be involved in all phases of the product life cycle. You will be active in coordinating testing efforts within the development team at both the unit and system testing levels and with the user community at the system acceptance level. In addition, you will be expected to analyze production processing to identify system improvements.

Candidate will be expected to work within the confines of Government provided software tools as well as within the confines of software distribution via a desktop management service.

Required Skills:
Must be a US citizen Candidate selection is based on successful completion of SF85P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Position. Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly in English; as this position requires strong writing and verbal skills. Candidate must possess effective communications and organizational skills in order to interface effectively with team members, other technical interfaces (DISA, Oracle, Cognos, Microsoft), customers and end users. Candidates must exhibit a strong understanding of testing methodologies; ability to create, document and execute test plans to ensure that the applications fully meet the system requirements. Must have an overall understanding of Web technologies/development methodologies or Business Intelligence modeling. Must be willing and able to work in a team environment. Testing experience with at least 3 years of proven experience in the following: Test Director 8.0 or above Knowledge of WinRunner Oracle databases 10g or higher Strong understanding of testing methodologies; ability to create, document and execute test plans. Thorough understanding of a wide range of testing techniques, processes and scenarios. Knowledge of best testing practices, industry standards and policies. Ability to coordinate testing efforts within the development team at both the unit and system testing levels. Overall understanding of Web technologies. Configuration Management experience. Additional Preferred Skill set: Tester with proven experience in the following: Familiarity with the use of CVS version control tool.
