Description
Overall responsibility for administering Oracle databases in support of Oracle applications upgrade from 11.5.9 to 11.5.10.

Requirements

. Experienced Oracle Application DBA with experience in upgrade, configure, tune, debug all components of the application technology stack to include the Oracle 9i database, 9iAS Jserv, forms, and concurrent managers.

. Extensive experience and expertise in Cloning of Oracle Applications 11i running on Oracle9i/10g RAC in a Linux environment.

. Demonstrate proficiency in administering multiple Oracle E-Business Suite environments on the SAN.

. Solid knowledge of Apache configuration in Oracle Applications Environment; knowledge of Oracle 9i and 10g Application Server.

. Patching and upgrading of new and existing environments

. Propose client configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Responsible for support documentation as well.

. Proactive monitoring to ensure servers, databases and applications environments are always available and running at optimal performance.

. Refresh of stable environments from backups on a regular basis.

. Investigation and resolution of non-functional Oracle Applications issues

Experience/Skills
Minimum of 5 years database administration, Applications DBA or Core technology product experience
. Previous application upgrade experience (11.5.9 to 11.5.10 preferred)
. Minimum of 2 years Linux Administration
. Monitor and optimize performance of systems
. Experience with Oracle Financials, Projects, Fixed Assets, Supply Chain (11i preferred)
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Other desired skills:
