- 6-8 years Oracle database administration experience.
- 2-3 years Linux experience.
- Knowledge of Storage Area Networks.
- Database Administration & Engineering Support 70%

- Multi-node RAC cluster design, administration and support

What you'll be doing:

- Provide primary database engineering & administration for Oracle database management systems across multiple platforms.
- Perform Oracle installation, upgrades and maintenance.
- Provide troubleshooting, analysis and resolution for development, test and production environments of Oracle databases.
- The Administrator will assist in monitoring the data center's production network and systems, and will apply analytic and diagnostic skills in determining production problems.
- Research emerging technologies, make recommendations to management on implementing technologies, and lead installation projects.
- Administer, manage and optimize dev, test and production Oracle databases.
- Perform data modeling, database design and engineering.
- Provide administrative support for Linux & Oracle RAC Servers using OEM.
- Creation and maintenance of database SOP's
- Configure, monitor and enhance Oracle monitors to proactively detect potential issues.
- SQL expertise in support, creation and tuning of SQL queries across multiple environments.
- Develop, maintain, configure and monitor database backup jobs & database SOP's
- Monitor and manage database SAN disk space utilization.
- Provide multi tier troubleshooting of the production data center including rotating off hours support.
- Monitor OS performance of database tasks.
- Provide support and troubleshooting to application development personnel.
- Create meaningful metrics that address both business and technical reporting needs.
- Create and maintain database scripts.
- Provide ad-hoc query support.
- Monitor and enhance Oracle performance.
- Provide support for, and interface with application development personnel in support of all relevant Oracle technologies.
