Job Description:

The selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Oracle
database administration in support of a major bank's
databases. The DBA will work with business analysts, project leaders,
developers, and system administrators to design, model, implement, and
operate the application databases. Specific duties include
logical/physical database design, developer and project support, SQL
Tuning, instance tuning, shell scripting, security management, backup
and recovery, hardware/software engineering, installs/upgrades , on-call
duties and production support.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm / After hours support as needed
Location: Charlotte, NC
Hours per week: 40 hours minimum - Contract to hire.

Experience/Skills
5+ Years Oracle database administration including: Backup/Recovery using
rman and Veritas NetBackup, Oracle Data Gurad administration,
Performance/SQL Tuning, Hardware configuration, Tuning Scripting (ksh,
Perl), Basic Unix administration (pref. Solaris) and Basic TCP/IP
