Description
CDI is in HOT/IMMEDIATE need for an Oracle DBA/Systems Analyst to join our qualified team.

SUMMARY:
Provide database support per our customer's needs and requirements. Enforce database security and company database standards. Maintain and monitor Oracle environments.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Oracle 9i & 10g DBA possessing in-depth understanding of all aspects of Oracle database technology.

Manage capacity planning, disaster recovery and performance analysis, develop and maintain db objects, structures for data storage, retrieval and reporting, test database design and functionality, tuning, systems performance and trouble shooting.

Provide performance problem solving skills for back end database interfaces as well as managing, monitoring and maintaining databases.

Make requested changes, update and modify database structure and data while ensuring database integrity, stability, and system availability and maintain database backup and recovery.

Manage several Oracle database instance and support the software development team to write, maintain SQL scripts for the promotion of Oracle changes across to these different databases and to production.

May be required to work weekends, provide off-hour support, and/or carry pagers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree and minimum five years experience in Oracle database administration, SQL, and application tuning

SKILLS:
Needs to be creative, analytical thinker who can be a team player as well effectively communicate and support IS strategy initiatives.

EXPERIENCE:
Change management processes.
Building and tuning Oracle Full Text indexes
Writing and tuning stored procedures, views and triggers.
Good knowledge of Software development methodology.
Data modeling and database design.df-tc
