50/50 WITH SQL AS WELL AS Oracle EXPERIENCE

CANDIDATES WILL BE INTERGRATING EXISTING DATABASES INTO NEW HARDWARE (merger)

MUST BE INDEPENDANT AND HAVE ANALYSIS AND PM SKILLS

LIGHT CODING EXPERIENCE(SQL PACKAGING AND SCRIPTING)

The candidate will be responsible for supporting enterprise databases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Design database security roles; enroll users and audit database security

*Develop database/application migration plans - data, database objects, scripts

*Develop scripts, stored procedures, triggers and database software packages.

*Distribute database performance statistics to application owners

*Ensure normal operation in all databases and database related environments (not limited to prod only)

*Follow change management policies to migrate corrections and enhancements through database environments.

*Maintain user access and application access in the databases

*Participate in all required meetings

*Perform troubleshooting of all databases and database related environments (not limited to prod only)

*Provide after hours and on-call support as required.

*Provide consultation and support to application team or other IT functional departments.

*Provide disk space analysis and database growth reports.

*Provide inputs on the database design to the High Level Design documentation

*Service requests from customers.

Required Skills:.Oracle 9i, 10g database administration

*Oracle Application Server, Oracle Client

*Ability to design, implement and support Oracle production databases for high availability, security, manageability and reliability.

*Ability to design, implement and support high volume transactional databases.

*Ability to perform complex, conceptual, and logical data modeling.

*Ability to design, implement and support large database implementations

*Proficiency in performance tuning

*Strong knowledge or Oracle & PL/SQL, SQL, Unix and Shell scripting

*Strong analytical & problem solving skills

*Knowledge of data migration, data archiving and data access techniques.

*Erwin, Oracle Designer

*Oracle Grid Control

*Knowledge of SOX and Audit

*Knowledge of Financial Industry

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with end users and management

*Ability to work in a remote team environment
