Position Overview:
You will be responsible for performing daily Oracle database administration duties to ensure maximum data availability and optimal database performance

Responsibilities:
Provide remote database administration for multiple Air Force and DoD systems supporting over 500,000 users worldwide
Responsible for maintaining over 500 HP and Sun mid tier Servers and over 600 Oracle instances at Air Force and DISA locations, in a 24x7 environment
Proactively monitor database conditions to resolve potential troubles before they impact customer operations
Performs application administration to include privileges, user administration, database tuning and backup/recovery processes
Troubleshoot and resolve customer trouble calls reported by individual users and individual program offices

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
3+ years of Oracle database administration experience
Must have working knowledge of LCS (Local Cache Server)
3+ years of experience with UNIX and Windows platforms
Extensive experience in troubleshooting customer issues and problems
