Description
Database Administrator within its Information Technologies Department in Lynchburg, VA. The position requires monitoring of existing Oracle databases; resolving database and database relate application issues; performance tuning, optimization and design and implementation of disaster recovery and security requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with a data modeler and application developers to design implement and maintain, databases on a Microsoft Windows Server platform using various technologies such as Oracle, RAC, SQL Server, Windows Clustering and SAN.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in computer science or an equivalent field is required along with 5+ years experience with Oracle as a DBA in Oracle7i or above, in Windows 2000 Server or above. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in teams, as well as working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment are requirements. Candidate selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Ability to obtain a DOE clearance is required.
