As a Jr. Oracle DBA you will build tables, conduct code reviews, code, test, perform database monitoring, space management, applications support, plus other general dba duties. Focus will be on performance management,appl design, tuning, tracking, maintaining, and develop best practices documentation.

Role Essentials
  • Ability to use technical specifications documents to create design flow, and setup unit testing plans.
  • Ability to provide DBA support for developers.
  • Interpersonal skills to interface with business and other IT users to resolve code defects during system and UAT testing
  • Technical skills to support turn manager for moving new and modified components to production
  • Technical skills to perform support for production processing issues
  • Technical skills to monitor and performance tune production components as needed
  • Development experience skills needed to learn and support Humana's system development lifecycle methodology and tools for all tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4 yrs Development experience in Oracle,pl/sql, Unix.
  • Solid PC user skills, including Word, Excel and Visio.
  • Above average interpersonal skills.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills
  • Document process and produce flow diagrams


    Reporting Relationships
    • You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
