Job Description & Responsibilities: *
  • Principal Duties and Essential Job Functions : *
  • Install, configure and manage OLTP/ODS Oracle databases (Oracle 10g RAC) *
  • Familiar with distributed application transaction (J2EE) *
  • Setup monitored matrixes using Enterprise Manager *
  • Perform database restores and recoveries using RMAN *
  • Monitor database performance, implement performance optimized recommendations, fix issues and problems. *
  • Provide on-call support as part of pager rotation. *
  • This position may perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge and Skills: *
  • 1-2 years clustered database experience *
  • 4-5 years Oracle DBA managing multiple instances with Oracle Streams/DataGuard experience *
  • 2-3 years UNIX/Linux platform *
  • 4-5 years SQL, PL/SQL, SQLLoader *
  • 1-2 years UNIX shell scripting *
  • 3-4 years 24 x 7 Production database support Education and Work Experience: *
  • BS or equivalent. *
  • Minimum 4 years of experience.df-tc
