We have a client who is currently seeking to fill the following contract opportunity...Title: Oracle Developer Location: Palatka, Florida (South of Jacksonville) Type: Contract (1 Year +) Start Date: Oct 1, 2005 Interviews will take place Sept 15-16. Job Description: Responsible for the creation, delivery, development, maintenance, deployment and assistance in migration of Oracle IFS/CM-SDK Java based technologies related to our District-wide Document Management System known as DMS. Additionally, part of this effort will be one-on-one coaching and mentoring of staff related to our DMS technology, as well as complete and thorough documentation of the software and interfaces built.Maintain, Deploy, Monitor, and Resolve issues on an ongoing basis in the day to day operations of Districts ORACLE IFS/CM-SDK based DMS.Develop new JAVA/other code to extend and optimize the performance and stability of Districts DMS.Work with IT staff to understand the technical foundation of the DMS....Work with business process staff to understand the DMS process and the need for rigid workflows to insure system integrity and compliance with Florida Statutes.Gain an overall understanding of life cycle of DMSData CaptureHashing/Digital SignatureVersioning, End-dating Storage Retrieval Compression Migration RetentionDispositionLinkingAnd, be able to communicate this understanding to staff.Understand the role of Data Capture in the system, the importance of capturing meta-data consistently @ the scanner, and relate to various groups why and how this works at various steps in the system.Develop technical documentation using a variety of mediums.Develop a set of on-line FAQs that is kept up-to-date with the latest issues.Develop and implement an on-line database of issues with relevant answers and include in this database.Deliverables:Refactor/Overhaul existing Oracle IFS/CM-SDK District specific code extensions and their interaction with COTS and Custom applications:Improve stabilityImprove performanceConsolidate file transfer methods Overhaul existing documentationProduce new documentationDesign, Develop, Implement, Deploy and Maintain Districts Next Generation DMS Technology based on Oracle CM-SDK/IFS or Oracle Tsunami or other yet to be named successor.Assist in migrations as necessary
