Candidates must be qualified to assume a full time position within 90 to 120 days.

To provide extraordinary in-depth technical and systems expertise in a broad range of disciplines to support the development, installation and maintenance of computer solutions that meet the needs of the organization in the most effective and efficient matter possible. Candidate must be able to develop applications to load and maintain an Oracle Data Warehouse.
To work closely with development associates, technical services associates, business associates, and management to provide direction and strategy on very complex technical issues.
To provide support to projects in areas requiring superior technical and systems expertise, a high-level of creativity, innovative approaches to reaching systems solutions, and to obtain an understanding of and appreciation for the business goals and strategies of the organization.
To understand the business needs of the organization and translate those needs into technical design specifications. To work closely with the organization to analyze, design, develop and implement business systems that will support Humana's business and direction with an emphasis on scalability and systems performance.
Performs in-depth research, systems analysis/design, and provides expert technical advice on a broad range of disciplines to support the development, installation and maintenance of advanced complex systems.
Codes tests and implements complex computer systems in accordance with client standards that meet the needs of the business functions for which the application is designed.
Works closely with the application associates and business area to interpret business rules/ requirements and translate requirements into technical specifications. Performs in-depth technical studies relating to computer hardware/software and prepare recommendations for purchase of new products or changes to existing operations.

Experience/Skills
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, technical area preferred or technical training equivalent.
4 - 10 years of total IS application development experience is desired.
Must be strong in Oracle 9I, PL/SQL, Unix AIX, SQL Loader, SQLPLUS and Explain plans. Basic mainframe skills desired but not required. TSO, File-Aid and FTP mainframe skills a plus.
Must be able to use tools such as Visio, MS Power Point, MS Project, Excel, MS Word, and Lotus Notes
