Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Oacle Functional Ananlyst on a 6 month contract opportunity with a leading company in Rancho Cordova


Our Client is a leading provider of government services and is devoted to providing health and human services program management and consulting services to its clients. The Company has more than 6,000 employees located in more than 280 offices in the United States, Canada and Australia.

In this position candidates will act as an Oracle Functional Analyst for our clients project located in Sacramento, CA.

Job Duties/Responsibilties:

Responsible for providing tier 2 support and incident management for the production application, interacting directly with the end-users, client application administrators, and functional and technical resources
Preliminary troubleshooting to determine if reported problems are expected standard/customized feature/functionality or unexpected exceptions/bugs
Documenting problems reported including problem statement, all error messages encountered, and all steps required re-creating the problem and transactional examples (eg, Invoice/Item/Customer/Party number/ID, request ID, etc).
Delivering, explaining, recreating/demonstrating the problem to functional/technical analysts as necessary
Participating in system testing and assist/coordinate user acceptance testing
Developing and maintaining application check lists and work instructions
Developing and maintaining application end-to-end test scripts for patch/release regression testing
Developing and maintaining user training material/manual for customized application feature/functionality
Coordinate completion and posting of application release notes


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on front-line support experience in Oracle applications; demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service experience in the most challenging environment with limited resources; excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to produce required training and/or procedural (work instruction) documentation;
Experience with Oracle financial modules (AP, AR, FA, PO, GL) and application administration (concurrent manager/requests) knowledge; experience with least one packaged helpdesk/ticket tracking application and experience with SQL*Plus; ability to construct simple database queries

In addition to normal functional analyst skills, the candidate would also need to know the following:
Skills

Experience and strong skills with Functional Design, Documentation, Testing and Knowledge Transfer of Owned Requirements

Make recommendations to design system with delivered functionality based on expert knowledge.

Write functional specifics for enhancement and work in collaboration with technical team to fully test enhancement

Document solutions for owned requirements.

Assist client in business process re-engineering to enable use of delivered system

Manage multiple priorities and communicate conflicts to management.

Previous Public Sector implementation experience (full life cycle projects)
