Oracle HR and Self-Service Applications Technical Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate would be part of a team responsible for the support of Oracle HR and Self-Service at our client. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing and understanding business needs and applying appropriate technology through technical configuration and customization, report development, and integration/interfaces. Application support tasks include determining and resolving problems and building relationships with team members, business units, vendors, peers, and other IT analysts. The candidate will be expected to create documentation as needed and follow standards and methodology. The candidate will be expected to perform these duties in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.

Educational Requirements:

Required: B.S., Computer Science or other equivalent degree.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:

Minimum of 5-6 years information systems experience with proven technical skills and aptitude

Minimum of 4 years experience with PL/SQL, UNIX, SQL, Oracle Forms in an Oracle ERP environment

Minimum of 3 years experience with Oracle Applications modules (Human Resources, Manager and Employee Self Service, Training Administration, iLearning, Fast Formulas, Workflow, AME, and ADE, WEB ADIetc.)

Experience supporting an Oracle HR and Self Service production environment

Experience customizing Oracle Forms using custom library and/or Custom Code personalization

Experience using APIs for HR and Financials modules

Experience building and supporting interfaces between Oracle Applications and other internal applications

Experience building and supporting interfaces between Oracle Applications and external providers

Strong understanding of the Oracle HR and Self-Service data model

Strong technical understanding of the integrations between modules

Experience building reports using Oracle Reports or Discoverer

Analytical and problem solving skills

Strong programming aptitude

Relationship building and customer service skills

Organizational and administrative skills

Experience using SQL*Loader,

Perform effectively in a team environment and independently without close supervision

Use discretion concerning confidential and sensitive company information

Have demonstrated oral and written communication skills with management, customers, vendors, and peers

Create documentation as needed and follow standards and methodology (ie documenting configuration changes, commenting code changes, application architecture diagrams, operating procedures)

Experience following project management methodologies

Experience with testing and implementation procedures

Quick learner

Attention to details

Flexible and dependable

Always looking for ways to improve to be more efficient

Work well with others under varying situations and circumstances

Work extra hours with little to no advance notice

Travel may be required
