Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Systems Analyst II on a Contract to Direct opportunity with our client in Phoenix. Under general supervision, this position provides a high level of technical expertise to formulate/define system scope and objectives based on user needs. This position may also provide direction and supervisory support to less experienced analysts.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:1.Creates or modifies procedures to solve highly complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. 2.Provides knowledge coordination and administration of the data repository, monitoring business models, advising on data issues and accepting models from the strategy and analysis phase of all major projects. 3.Performs complex application analysis and design, project planning and control and project implementations following approval. Ensures that all parties that need to know are informed of plans, progress and project status. May manage the project team. 4.Manages the quality of the deliverables by developing and adhering to applications development methodology and by providing support to the project team through direct assistance, help and training. 5.Analyzes the business and identifies the user needs (ie, specify the business requirement that is to be met by any new of modified system and help to define how a system should be implemented). 6.Provides direction and support and assists in the training of less experienced systems analysis staff to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex systems analysis. 7.May provide supervisory support to other analysts, which may include but is not limited to scheduling and evaluating performance. 8.Maintains and increases professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. 9.Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGEA thorough knowledge and understanding of the technical environments as normally obtained through the completions of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Must be competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities, as described above. Five-seven years systems analysis experience required. Prior experience leading or supervising a team of analysts is required. Proven ability and past experience with highly complex systems analysis for software development is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff, as described above. Must possess the ability to communicate well with others, to perform work in a team environment, direct and act as a resource for less experienced network administrators and relay necessary information as appropriate.
Experience with Oracle E-business Suite. Experience with Financial Systems and accounting a plus. Experience with SQL* Plus or PL/SQL Visio and or Project Preferred.
