One of our top clients in the Kennesaw area is looking for a strong Architect. Below is an quick over view of the position. This is a direct hire with the client. This is a key role; the ideal candidate will act as the technical evangelist between customer requirements, technical design, application development, product engineering and support services.The Architect will ensure technical designs are created that take into account current systems, migration strategies and end state architecture. The role will require the architect to take an end to end view of the clients business functions (sales, marketing, support, engineering), business solutions (compliance, assets and energy), application development, customer support and define an end state architecture for OF THE CLIENTS to execute, including developing detailed investment models in support of the business strategy.In particular the Architect will aid the definition of an application platform (around Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies), integrated into existing technologies, appropriate external technologies that enables the development of an integrated set of application modules to support of the clients business strategy. The architect will assess current applications, technologies, integrations and Business Intelligence applications, and propose future architectures.This is a senior role, requiring excellent technical skills, management and leadership experience to define the next generation of intelligent enterprise applications. The ability to clearly communicate, articulate and drive change within the client, and build strong relationships with customers, technical partners.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Assessment of current technologies, product development and designs
Creation of an integrated, multi- year technical roadmaps to meet customer needs
Migration plans for existing technologies, applications and platforms (grandfathering, sunset, end of life)
Definition and development of integration design patterns and standards across OF THE CLIENT
Definition and design of application development patterns and standards in support of MVC (model view control) based on a J2EE platform
Definition and design of Middleware technologies that encompass : presentation, security, business logic, data warehousing and Business Intelligence architecture
Communication of detailed investment models that enable the selection, piloting and implementation of the intelligent enterprise architecture for OF THE CLIENT
Ability to identify key roles and individuals in the organization to introduce architectural patterns, designs and thinking into the development process
Work with Product marketing and product engineering teams to define technologies, solutions and architectures to meet current & future customer demand
Background in application development, using Middleware technologies to build out composite enterprise solutions for major customers.
Working knowledge of software development methods and processes including CMMI and Agile development practices.

Provide strong technical skills in Oracle Middleware technologies products & associated infrastructure, covering:
Oracle integration technologies:-SOA suite 10g Oracle application and technology adapters-OAGSIS 10 message sets-XML gateway-BMPL, XML and JMS technologies-Enterprise Service Bus-Oracle Application Server 10-Oracle security (OID, SSO, WAM etc)
Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) and Java Development skills (composite applications)
Oracle 10g Database
Knowledge of Oracle Portal Webcenter and Oracle Enterprise Manager 10
Ability to manage multiple technical projects and initiatives
Conduct technical reviews and recommendations to executives and senior management
Background in the retail sector would be advantageous
