Experience/Skills
Lead Software Engineer (Web) - San Francisco, CAResponsibilities:- Provide technical leadership to development teams in all aspects of project lifecycles including requirements gathering, solution architecture, coding and testing
- Work directly with product development and operations teams throughout all phases of project lifecycles
- Work with QA department to develop quality assurance documentation and test plans
- Develop coding standards and guidelines
- Maintain and improve existing web applications and systems
- Identify, create and maintain development frameworks and code libraries
- Mentor junior members of the team
Conduct code reviews
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience building and tuning secure, scalable, database-driven web sites (Online Media Web experience is a plus)
- Strong Object Oriented Design and Software development skills
- Strong knowledge of PHP 4, PHP 5, and PHP Frameworks
- Proficiency with Flash, XML, AJAX, and JavaScript
- Strong Technical skills using MySQL database platforms
- Experience with revision control systems such as Subversion or CVS
- Experience with agile software development methodologies (e.g., scrum) preferred
- Demonstrated use and knowledge of design patterns
- Excellent analytical/problem solving skills, ability to think creatively and solve complex technical problems
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
