PL-SQL/VB6 Developer

Successful candidate will be involved in providing the following:

• Production environment for Disaster Recovery. They are seeking hard core SQL Server DBA with expert qualifications in Disaster Recovery, Cluster Configuration, and standard install and upgrade in a production environment. Schedules and monitors SQL server jobs and nightly processes.
• Handle database tickets.
• Implements and maintains the backup/recovery.
• Review Job documentations and ensure it meats the standards.
• Performs SQL server administrations; installation/upgrade database server, database creation/deletion, disk space usage, database integrity/consistency, etc
• Setup and maintains database logins, users, roles and permissions
• Monitors and optimizes the performance of the database server.
• Troubleshoots and supports database issues.
• Provide 24X7 on-call support for database failures and problems
• 4 Year college degree - Bachelor or equivalent (math, computer science or MIS preferred)
• Knowledge of SQL server and Oracle Administration
• Thorough knowledge of structured query language
• Self motivated, detail oriented, and have a service oriented attitude.
