As a Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will work as a Project Manager for mid-size projects and/or technical leader for portions of large projects involving the planning and design of water and wastewater facilities including pump stations, reservoirs, pipelines or treatment plants. Direct the technical research, calculations and designs of junior engineers and CADD operators. You will also direct the preparation of specifications and cost estimates for construction bidding. The Engineer will also assist in coordinating, evaluating and incorporating specialty activities of subconsultants, assist in marketing potential clients and projects and assist in determining project fee and scope proposals for new work. Minimum qualifications for this position include: 1. Minimum 7 years experience as a design engineer or lead project engineer on pipelines, pump stations, storage facilities or treatment plants. 2. Must be able to plan, develop, coordinate and direct the design of important large project or several smaller projects with complex features. 3. Must be a registered Professional Engineer and able to obtain a California PE within 12 months of employment. 4. Excellent writing skills. 5. Proven business development capabilities.
