Description
PEROT SYSTEMS CORPORATION is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a PeopleSoft HRMS Payroll Techno/Functional Sr. Specialist to join our team in Plano, TX.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work on a highly motivated, dynamic, strong development team supporting PeopleSoft HRMS applications (particularly North American Payroll and Time and Labor)
  • Must have the ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Have a flexible approach to work with ensured closure of tasks
  • Have the ability to think 'outside the box'
  • Must be proficient in the functional design, development, and implementation of business processes and packaged software solutions
  • Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and an ability to make pragmatic and practical decisions without compromising the integrity of the IT system
  • Have strong communication and project management skills along with solid functional knowledge with PeopleSoft HRMS modules

    Required Skills:
  • Minimum 5+ yrs PeopleSoft development experience
  • Minimum 5+ yrs PeopleTools (PeopleCode, App Engine, etc.)
  • 5+ yrs PeopleSoft Functional and Technical experience with Peoplesoft HRMS (particularly North American Payroll and Time and Labor)
  • Must have experience working with a global delivery team (off-shore and/or near-shore resources), coordinating work efforts and ensuring project delivery dates are met on time and within budget
  • Must be willing to travel 50% for the first 8 months of the project

    Desired Skills:
  • Excellent customer interface skills and the ability to effectively communicate with business analysts and end-users as well as off-shore team members are required
  • Full understanding of the systems development life-cycle
  • Knowledge in PeopleTools 8.40 or higher with knowledge of application engine, PeopleCode, Query, SQR, Workflow, UNIX, Component Interfaces, Cobol, upgrade methodologies and have the ability to write and understand complex SQL statements
  • Experience reviewing PeopleSoft patches and applying fixes
  • Experience with Oracle databases
  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills
