PUBLIC SAFETY SYSTEMS ANALYST

Town government in one of the world’s premier resort locations has immediate opening for an individual seeking professional growth.  This is an exempt position (not eligible for overtime) and reports to the Public Safety Systems Administrator.  The typical starting range for a qualified candidate is $49,882 to 60,481, doe.  The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area plus a minimum of one year of database design, reporting, and custom programming experience.

The principal functions of an employee in this class are to provide technical support to the Public Safety Systems Administrator in maintaining computer database applications and associated system interfaces critical to the operations of the Fire/Rescue Department.  This employee acts as back-up to the Public Safety Systems Administrator. 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

·      Provides technical support for Intergraph Public Safety suite of applications (CAD) and assists with software upgrades as required;

·      Supports CAD map rollouts and enhancements to include; importing and converting  ESRI GIS data performing extensive QA of new map data, writing and maintaining SQL scripts for altering and transferring data, exporting map data and map files as a separate entity for tape backup;

·      Provides technical support for BIO-Key FireRMS (SunPro) Records Management  System and underlying Microsoft SQL Server database, SunPro Message Server, and BIO-Key client application installed on various workstations and assists with software upgrades as required;

·      Provides technical support for EMS Patient Data Collection System and underlying Microsoft SQL Server database and assists with software upgrades as required;

·      Provides technical support for Telestaff Resource Scheduling System and underlying Sybase SQL Anywhere database and assists with software upgrades as required;

·      Provides technical support for ProQA Emergency Dispatch System to include CAD-ProQA link and software updates;

·      Provides technical support for FireRMS Mobil-MI and FireRMS Sync Manager Inspection System and assists with software upgrades as required;

·      Assists in maintaining vehicle assignment table in Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) System.

·      Assists in maintaining time synchronization and intersystem data flows, including CAD-ALI, CAD-AVL, CAD-SunPro, SunPro-Telestaff , and the Patient Data Collection;

·      Designs and develops database queries and reports using various reporting tools with an emphasis on utilization of Crystal Reports;

·      Assists in the maintenance and replacement of hardware to include Dell servers and workstations, Spectracom NetClock and firmware updates;

·      Assists with recommendations for operating systems hardware and software upgrades, to include participating in the development of specifications and product and vendor identification, coordinating installation and integration of selected hardware and software.
