Perot Systems Healthcare, a leader in providing world-class IT solutions, has an immediate need for a Patient Financial Systems Senior Manager to join our team in Glendale, California on one of our largest healthcare accounts.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing at a high level the operation of personnel, activities, projects, and issues from the client.
  • Develop strategic plans for the patient revenue cycle applications for the client from an enterprise perspective with an awareness of local facility needs.
  • Track and support the execution of projects and enhancements within the Patient Revenue Cycle (PRC) Team to support the business needs of financial departments.
  • Manage the Enterprise PRC Budget and report on monthly variances.
  • Work with the client, developing business cases and budgets for capital projects.
  • Direct, supervise, coordinate, review and evaluate the work of the support staff.
  • Coordinate with Senior Management in addressing operational and administrative needs.
  • Assist in coordination between vendors and staff.
  • Estimate effort and assign resources to projects and requests for services.
  • Work with business users to identify requirements for maintaining applications.
  • As a Leader this position requires that the person be available after hours and weekends for escalation of issues within the PRC team.
  • This position will require that the person be part of the Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation. As MOD, managers to act as an escalation point for Sev 1 and 2 incidents on the account staff this rotation.
  • As a leader, the position attends the following councils: HIM, Patient Financial Services, Long Term Care, and Practice Management.

    Required Skills:
  • 10 plus years of financial healthcare experience on the provider side.
  • 7 plus years of leadership and people management experience.
  • Extensive experience with claims management, ADT, and order systems.
  • Strong knowledge of coding and abstracting.

    Desired Skills:
  • Previous hospital experience and knowledge of healthcare workflow process strongly preferred.
  • Extensive Financial Applications Systems experience preferred.
  • Experience developing strategic planning, managing personnel, budget, contract administration and related policies, procedures and processes.
  • Ability to lead team with reporting managers and team of 40-50 associates and to provide strong leadership requiring time-sensitive, difficult and complicated choices of action.
  • Experience in managing projects, processes, and staff with a strong results orientation including supervising and motivating staff with diverse skill levels, directing and coordinating the priorities of staff engaged in complex activities and projects, delegating responsibilities
    effectively, and providing guidance in crisis situations.
  • Experience and interest in team building, strategic planning, organizational development, and/or performance management.
  • Experience on a multi-facility account.
