Payroll Systems Analyst

The Metropolitan Opera is looking for someone to assist with payroll system administration and analysis.  This position will involve ongoing maintenance and support for existing payroll systems and reports, as well as the development of new reports and technology.

Essential duties and responsibilities include: 

-Monitor payroll data to identify and correct user entry errors.

-Provide application support for the payroll system user base.

-Run production payrolls as needed.

-Maintain and distribute payroll reports throughout the company.

-Assist in cyclical research projects including labor costing and media revenue sharing.

-Assist Payroll Manager in quarterly, calendar year end and fiscal year end reporting/analysis.

-Provide system administration for vacation, sick and personal time plans.

-Document new payroll system policies and procedures.

-Assist with implementing system enhancements and upgrades.

Required qualifications include:

-BA degree or equivalent.

-3-5 years prior experience in payroll systems administration (Lawson preferred).

-Strong Access database development and data mining skills, including the ability to write detailed queries and formulas.

-Report writing skills utilizing both Access and Crystal Reports.

-Experience working with complex union rules and/or business requirements.
