Mastech Inc is a growing company dedicated to innovation and teamwork. We are currently seeking a PeopleSoft Business Analyst for our client in the Healthcare domain. This is a contract position and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12 months
Location: Oakland, CA/ Zip Code: 94612
Compensation: $55 - $65/ Hourly

Role: PeopleSoft Business Analyst

Role Description: The PeopleSoft Business Analyst would study the overall business and information needs of the organization, in order to develop solutions to business and related technology problems. The Business Analyst's role is usually undertaken prior to the system design, building, and programming stages of the systems development process. This PeopleSoft Business Analyst would need to have at least 9+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

- Works closely with the clients to identify business needs and the costs and benefits of implementing a computing solution.
- Construct IT definitions based on identified needs of the organization.
- Work with other IT experts to address networking and hardware needs.
- Devise and document a general system design based on the client's anticipated requirements.
- Negotiate options with the client.

Additional Requirements:

- Cognos development in HR functional area is required.
- A good understanding of PeopleSoft HCM and EPM is required in addition to the Cognos development skills set.
- Must have Cognos and PeopleSoft security setup experience.

Required Technical Skills:

- Excellent knowledge and working experience with Cognos Report Studio/Query Studio.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft/EPM.
- Understanding of the PeopleSoft HCM application.
- Expertise in writing Complex SQLs.
- Experience with DB2 database.

Nice to Have:

- Cognos Transformer, Analysis Studio, and Metrics Manager experience.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
