Thompson Technologies is seeking a Peoplesoft HCM Application Architect for a permanent position in Nashville.

Peoplesoft HCM Application Architect

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Permanent Full time position

The HR Application Architect will be responsible for functional and technical design, delivery and maintenance of Peoplesoft HCM Applications. In addition the application architect will play an active role in the design and integration of custom and 3rd party HR applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide functional expertise for various components of Peoplesoft HCM
Translate business requirements into configuration changes, custom development, technical architecture design and estimate the level of effort to complete.
Consults with business unit management and personnel to obtain additional information during system design and development and evaluates alternatives to systems modifications
Tracks and documents changes to functional business specifications
Develop and maintain Integrated task plan for all enhancement requests and communicate with end user community
Manage project issues related to Scope Change, Resource and Time Constraints to provide consistent solution delivery.
Identify project risks in advance and proactively
Mitigate these risks with appropriate steps (Business impact, alternative options, pros/cons, recommendations)
Coordinate and perform technical and user acceptance testing for upgrades and new system software
Mentor and provide on-project learning opportunity for team members
Create a robust Development, Delivery and Support Standards
Provide product management by understanding business direction and designing systems that will support key initiatives
Manage and deploy deliverables through a phased methodology
Monitor product upgrades and new releases and communicate relevant findings to the primary administrators of the system
Gain knowledge of additional HR applications and provide single point of contact regarding HR systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive functional knowledge of at least one or more Peoplesoft HCM modules (HR, Benefits Admin, Performance Management, eProfile, ePerformance, Compensation Management, Payroll Interface) gained through detailed participation in an enterprise implementation.
Experience in data conversion and migration, interface design, and best practice implementation.
Strong functional and technical understanding of Peoplesoft HCM Modules
Strong communication skills with ability and to work directly with business users
Experience with development using Peopletools, Application Engine, App Messaging, SQR
Experience with and interfacing to Kronos and ADP (Payforce and PCPW)
Experience with functional and technical design of various enhancements
Understanding of Peoplesoft Application Architecture and the various integration points

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in business operations/management information systems, computer science or related field
5 or more years experience as Application Architect/Functional Lead with the Peoplesoft HCM product suite. 
Experience with Peoplesoft HCM implementation, support, systems planning, maintenance, reporting, and/or problem diagnosis.
10 years of IT experience preferably in support of Human Resource activities
