Project Details: This is a test to determine how far apart the customer can build two Data Centers to ensure that their Mainframe applications will have acceptable performance. This engagement will test the customer Mainframe configurations and transaction workloads to understand the impact of different transaction arrival rates at varying distances upon application and system response times. At a minimum the following information will be collected and reported: -MVS performance usage such as CPU, Memory, CF I/O, DASD I/O. -IMS and DB2 performance statistics such as internal response time lock times, CF access, transaction profiles. -CICS performance statistics such as transaction workload, response times, CPU usage. -MQ performance statistics Need heavy performance and analysis. Resource needs to analyze data and then write up the report. Primary Role: Test Consultant Primary Skill Set: Testing Performance Secondary Skill Sets: DB2 Comments/Other Skills REQUIRED SKILLS: To review performance statistics from z/OS, WLM, DB2, MQ, CICS, Java Workload. This will require knowledge of SMF, RMF and processing of performance statistics to include CF data, Channel data, CPU, along with DB2, MQ, and CICS performance. Knowledge of parallel sysplex with data sharing of DB2, IMS, and MQ is required to support the testing and determine how far apart the data centers can be located. Need heavy performance and analysis. Resource needs to analyze data and then write up the report.df-tc
