Description

Our team is looking for a talented, energetic Perl WebApp Monk with skills in Windows automation as well. The core mission of our team is to help the 6000 Engineers designing missiles at RMS to be able to do their jobs more efficiently through automation and replication of best practices at the grassroots level. Your role on this team would be as a key individual contributor doing software development and Scripting on multiple technology fronts.


REQUIRED
---------------------

Perl Programming Proficiency.

Reputation for execution and quality delivery (Getting product out the door on schedule).

Good written and oral communications skills.

Hunger for learning, improving, automating, increasing efficiencies (not satisfied with status quo).

Desire for a wide variety of application of scripting/automation across multiple engineering disciplines.

Open Minded: May have strong preferences for certain languages and operating systems but must be willing to work in multiple languages and operating systems as the task requires.

Customer-focused engineer, can take direction and proactively work to create better-then-expected products - consistently.

Demonstrated talent in the application of core Web technologies, including Javascript (aka: JQuery, ExtJs, etc); CSS; XHTML; Templating Languages (aka: Template Toolkit, XSLT, or language specific); MVC's (aka: Catalyst, Spring, ASP.Net MVC); ORM's (aka: DBIx:Class; RoseDB:Class; Hibernate; or D-LINQ); RDBMS (aka: MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle); SOA (aka: SOAP and REST webservices).

Experience in Windows & Office Automation (VBA or C#/VB.Net).

Demonstrated expertise in engineering engaging, intuitive user experiences. A good grasp on the science of Computer-Human interaction and expertise in applying usability best-practices throughout the development process.


DESIRED
---------

Demonstrated experience in development and management of high-traffic Web applications (>30,000 unique users/day).

Experience in Flex and/or Flash development. Knowledge of Cairngorm, Blaze, and LiveCycle Data Services (LCDS).

Experience/Comfort in operational aspects of Website and database management in a unix-based environment a plus. Experience using the agile/scrum SD methodology desirable.

Strong security background, applies and practices expertise in the design, implementation, and evaluation of Web applications. Experience in designing/conducting network intrusion audits a bonus.
