RL PLANNING MANAGER



Summary: Manage the forecasting of customer returns to enable the highest possible level of customer service while meeting the client's inventory objectives. Lead the forecasting process for the RL Materials department, supporting global repair locations. Work closely with Forward Planning and Customer Service to develop and maintain a 12 month rolling device return projection. Work with Demand Planning to build a monthly consensus forecast. Provide a rolling monthly, quarterly, annual and lifetime forecast by product group.





Key Job Responsibilities:

Lead the forecasting process for the RL Organization:

?Review forecasting process and provide solutions for improvement

?Collaborate, generate and drive consensus forecast through the entire product life cycle for repair return

?Risk and impact analysis for supporting out of warranty repairs, end of service strategies across global regions

?Provide monthly forecast scorecard

?Take ownership and improve forecast accuracy. Report inconsistencies with forecasts and actual sales (root cause analysis). Develop a plan of action to ensure future forecasting errors are not repeated.

Manage APO System including Reporting:

?Ensure that APO is kept currently with new and discontinued items

?Build forecast simulations to test what if scenarios

?Maintain users workbooks

Capacity Planning

?Maintain knowledge of capacity constraints (rough-cut capacity plan) in all areas of material planning which may affect the Operations ability to meet scheduled requirements for backlog and forecasted orders.



Skills Required:

?Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

?Effective interpersonal and collaboration style to work across departments and levels of the organization

?Process driven and result oriented

?Effective use of forecasting aids such as MS Excel

?Team focused and collaborative

?Detailed systems knowledge, APO preferred

?Experience with ERP systems SAP preferred

?Ability to effectively manage conflicting demands and recommendations among departments in the organization

Leadership skills

?Decisiveness, action-orientation, personal integrity, capability to persevere in difficult situations, able to deal with ambiguity. Should also possess an open, collaborative leadership style that promotes teamwork and partnership while achieving desired results.
