PROGRAM/PORTFOLIO MANAGER



GENERAL SUMMARY

The Program Manager will manage a team of seven (7) project managers for a complex large scale project at a local health insurance organization.


REQUIRED SKILLS

Demonstrated experience leading large programs (multiple projects within a related program).
Experience as a Consultant leading cross functional teams to on-time, with-in budget project deliverables.
Formal project management experience including experience with various types of Systems Development Life Cycle Methodology.
Solid testing background, including managing teams with testing responsibilities.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to be a self starter and to work independently.
Demonstrated success working in complex organizations to extract, document and communicate information to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft applications (Project, Visio, Access. Power Point etc.)


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor=E2=80=99s degree in Information Technology or related discipline. Master=E2=80=99s degree preferred.
Minimum 10 years experience as a Program or Portfolio Manager.
Experience working in an insurance environment.
PMP certification or equivalent preferred.df-tc
