We have an immediate need for a Power Electronics Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Power Electronics Engineer



Lead the design and development of power electronic systems including high power motor controllers/drives, power converters for active rectification, battery power converters, etc. mainly for aerospace applications. The work includes producing requirements, design, analyses, experimentation, test planning and execution. Familiarity with high power, high frequency magnetic, switching devices and their drive circuits. Strong emphasis on power magnetic design and analysis. Strong understanding of the different electric motors and their drives topologies. High fidelity circuit and system level simulation capability using state of the art simulation tools. Candidate should have demonstrated a strong analytical strength as well as a solid hardware background with hands-on skills to utilize specialized hardware development tools and equipment. The position requires a person with initiative, resourcefulness and teamwork traits and must have good written and oral communication and the willingness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.



Education: BSEE, MSEE Preferred

Experience/Qualifications: 5+ Years of experience in power electronics, electromagnetic design, and motor drive technology. Aerospace experience is a plus

Power Magnetic experience required
