The Storage (NetApp) engineer will assist sales reps with both pre and post sales opportunities (50% to 50% split, respectively). You will be involved in all aspects of the service life cycle, including pre-sales pursuit, white boarding, solution development, implementation, transformation, and deep technical support for delivery. This is a customer-facing role that requires a professional, can-do attitude. You will work across multiple cross-functional teams to develop solutions and solve complex problems. Typical work will include the following:Customer and product compatibility researchWorking with Channel vendors to learn new productsOnsite POC and implementationsMaintain certifications and gain additional skill sets Facilitate long-term customer relationships through the delivery of technical solutions to customer business problems. Generate consulting revenues by providing advanced technical design and implementation services. Expertly deliver full life cycle Storage solutions Very strong knowledge and experience with Wintel/Windows Servers and systems. Required Skills:Required Education: BS in technology or businessStorage (NetApp key) engineer with strong presales skills combined with the ability to design and implement complex storage environments.5 + years working with NetApp Enterprise Level (Key), others a strong plus. Hitachi, EMC, Sun Understanding of Fibre channel and iSCSI design and implementation Expert level knowledge of backup software products. Must have a thorough understanding of Windows Servers. Working knowledge of Linux desired. Working knowledge of VMware ESX is desired. Prior experience in the reseller channel environment is desired.
