Principal Electrical CAD Coordinator

Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the U.S. government. Our landmark planning, environmental, engineering, construction, and facility operation programs have supported federally-funded chemical weapons demilitarization, military installations and ranges, space exploration, missile defense, aviation, and sustainability programs. Our services also support homeland security initiatives and reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters.

Project
Parsons is supporting the design, construction, and operations of a pilot plant that will use advanced technology to neutralize a significant portion of the U.S. government’s chemical agent stockpile. As part of our team, you will be actively contributing to a safer world for future generations.

Need
We are seeking an electrical Computer Aided Design (CAD) coordinator to provide technical guidance to the drafters and designers supporting this project. The successful candidate will be able to create 3D electrical models and intricate CAD drawings of raceways, conduits, etc. You will establish and maintain the CAD standards such as scaling, leveling, and drawing references. This position entails working in a collaborative environment with a multi-discipline design team and serving as the point of contact with the software provider (Bentley) to resolve issues.

Requirements

15+ years of relevant electrical CAD experience designing chemical or power plants and/or refineries
Proven abilities to produce deliverables using software such as Bentley Microstation J or V8, ProjectBANK, Intergraph 3D and PDS, and EERaceway
Track record of success in maintaining standards and preparing deliverables to code
Associate degree or certification from accredited designer/drafter course preferred
Proof of U.S. citizen or permanent residency required
