Job Responsibilities
Principal Systems Engineer (Sunnyside, NY) needed to translate business requirements into technical requirements and present software solutions in a business context to prospects and existing customers. Work closely with our field and inside sales teams to provide technical pre-sales support and cultivate partner and customer relationships as well as actively participate in the setting of business strategy. Responsible for proactively driving and managing the technology evaluation aspect of the sales process in a coordinated effort with the sales team. Respond to pre-sales technical inquiries related to products, architecture and implementation, and actively participate in day-to-day sales activities with designated sales team. Execute proof-of-concept exercise onsite at customer locations. Travel throughout the sales territory is required.

Qualifications
Must have a Master's Degree and 5 years experience in technical pre-sales or post-sales consulting, including a strong background in customer support and/or field sales support with an emphasis on working closely with sales channels. Of the 5 years experience, a minimum of 2 years experience is required in the following:
1) interacting with J2EE products, specifically Java application Servers (eg BEA WebLogic, IBM Websphere or JBoss);
2) XML tools and technology including XPath and XSLT;
3) message-oriented middleware;
4) Sonic ESB and Sonic MQ;
5) Actional SOA Management Product.

Must also have a deep understanding of Web services and associated standards. In lieu of Masters 5 years of experience, will accept Bachelor's 8 years of experience in technical pre-sales or post-sales consultant, inc. two years in the specific skill areas listed above.df-tc
