Job Description: Our client is seeking a talented Principal Software Developer-Technical Lead to join its software development team creating advanced web-based interactive educational software, course development tools and learning management systems. The ideal candidate is capable of working independently as well as in small teams and enjoys working with leading edge technology in a fast paced work environment.Job Responsibilities: The position requires an individual to take responsibility for specifying, designing and leading the development of one of our e-learning initiatives. This individual will have the experience, vision and technical knowledge to be able to understand our e-learning solution and develop a component that fits our overall solution. The individual will have the creativity and engineering ability to provide architectural input and leadership with a team of talented contributors. The individual will have the leadership capabilities to lead a small development team in implementation. The individual will have had a track record of collecting and understanding complex requirements, understanding existing core solutions and delivering effective solutions. They will have had experience in server based java technologies and in web-based distributed applications. The will have had experience providing architectural leadership and leading software development team initiatives.Skills Required: ? MSCS or MSEE or equivalent experience ? Over 8 years experience in commercial software development ? Experience leading in multiple person teams ? Participate in all aspects of software development including requirements analysis, effort estimation, technical investigation, software design and implementation, unit testing, and bug fixing. ? Translate Business Requirements into functional specifications and development scope. ? Create and document detailed software designs. ? Code, test, debug, and support Java in a Server environment using Tomcat, IIS, JSP, SQL technologies.
