We have an immediate need for a Print Circuit Design for Manufacturability Technician in Santa Rosa.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our technician will support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Test) engineers by reviewing, evaluating and providing written and verbal feedback on PCAs and PCBs.

Primary Tasks:
1. Perform PCDFM reviews on PCAs and PCBs within deadlines (currently 48 hours, going to 24 hours)
2. Provide clear, accurate and detailed feedback to PC designers, PCDFM engineers, Design engineers and project managers.

Design for Manufacturability Review Process includes, but is not limited to:
Run and interpret Valor reports on all board assemblies
Perform manual checks
Enter data in Fast Track
Review drawings and Material lists
Attend AWR (Are We Ready) meetings
Research and initiate PCB and PCA export classifications
Determine optimum panelization for PCBs


Additional aspects of this job:
Apply Industry PCA assembly standards (IPC) to PCA DFM review
process.
Use of Valor Enterprise 3000 Design Rule Check Tool, Mentor Expedition, Mentor Board Station and EEDP
Resolve design/manufacturing constraints presented by EE so that
design meets manufacturability requirements.
Assist senior DFM technician with tasks and projects as required

Qualified candidates:
Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience with PCA/PCB layout tools including Valor Enterprise 3000, Board-station, EPDM, HPDL, EEDP, Mentor Board Station, Design Architect, Board Architect, Matrix One, MLAR report, and/or CAD Data Store.

Possess proficiency with Windows operating systems, and have knowledge of electrical components and an understanding of component data sheets and electrical footprints.

Must be a self-motivated self-starter, with strong initiative and attention to detail
Must have Excellent written and verbal communications kills

Highly Desired:
Minimum of 5-7 years hands-on experience on Mentor tools, including the ability to create HPDL parts, train EEs on schematic entry and PCB Designers on layout, and ability to bring in, beta test and troubleshoot new SW versions on all Mentor and related CAD tools.

Extensive background with interface tools such as MatrixOne, ICX, and Valor.
Demonstrated written skills - ability to create and publish training manuals, process documentation, and sophisticated flow diagrams
Extensive knowledge of best practices on CAD tools and high speed (RF), very complex, large footprint, and controlled impedance designs.
