Process Engineer II

Contract Engineer
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Duration: 1 to 2 year contract

1. PURPOSE: To assist a team of engineers with projects to provide an uninterrupted flow of components for packaging operations that meet instrument, quality, cost and delivery requirements.
2. EDUCATION: Graduated or 3rd year student with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with focus on manufacturing processes or product designs for manufacturability is preferred.

3. KEY SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRMENTS:
3.1 SKILL SETS: Candidates for these positions will have varying levels of ability in the following areas. Demonstrated use of these skills will be a factor in determining the appropriate job level.
3.1.1 Knowledge of component manufacturing processes
3.1.2 Knowledge of component design for manufacturability, or design requirement cascade for instrument manufacturability.
3.1.3 Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, database applications and statistical software packages.

3.1.4 Statistical analysis software
4. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 Complete technical projects with engineering team to resolve component related quality deviations, process capability, and instrument output performance.
4.2 Determine tooling and spare requirements to maintain base business demand.
4.3 Provide technical support for the approval/validation of changes/improvements in supplier processes.
4.4 Potentially coordinate RMI activities
4.5 Follow all company safety polices and other safety precautions in the work area
4.6 Ensures compliance with Environmental and Health responsibilities
4.7 Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities may be assigned.
