Product Development Manager

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to consult with internal and external clients as well as acting on one's own initiative to develop recommendations and requirements for new products as well as recommending enhancements to existing products. Will have responsibility for evaluating and negotiating with vendors, contractors and potential business partners to develop business relationships favorable for the expansion of product offerings. Responsible for maintaining and expanding both internal and external client relationships through the delivery of high quality work. Will seek, obtain, monitor and analyze feedback from customers to improve products and reporting and provide support relevant to areas of expertise.
Successful execution of this position includes clear and precise, well-written documentation. This position requires management of meetings that collect and disseminate information related to this role, and a clear understanding of the industry and general report and data needs.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Business or related field, with Masters Degree preferred. At least five years in management with budgeting experience. Experience with publishing or electronic publishing is preferred. Business or data analyst with 3 years hands on experience and proficiency in a programming language such as SQL with advanced knowledge of excel pivot tables and data mining. Knowledge of report writing tools such as R&R Report Writer, Crystal Reports or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services or similar software. Intermediate knowledge of GIS systems. Experience with ESRI products is preferred. Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as project management skills. Knowledge of oil and gas drilling and production is preferred.
