What you need:

One to three year of professional work experience in IT/Software Engineering field.
One year of hands-on professional programming experience.
One year of hands-on SQL experience.
Experience with VB, JavaScript, and HTML.
Production Support experience in software environment.
Experience working with end users.
Knowledge of a variety of programming languages, computer software, network systems, operating systems, and installation procedures.
Experience using Web applications.
Experience using Windows client applications.
Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
Object-Oriented Programming.
Database Management.
Data Structure.
Computer Networking.
A sincere desire to learn and the ability to learn quickly.

OTHER HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
ASP experience.
Java experience.
Shell script experience.
Familiarity with the Unix/C.
Experience with automated testing tools.
Experience with XML and Web Service applications.

What you will be doing:

- The Production Support Developer II will work under the direction of the AVP Application Development and Software Technical Support Team Lead in providing level 1 and 2 technical support and troubleshooting for problems with software related issues for internal and external customers; ensuring issues are resolved in a timely fashion; escalating urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources.
- The incumbent will work with Application Development staff to validate and certify changes to applications and serve as technical support for different development projects.
- This position will also perform software defect coding, minor enhancements, testing and upgrade procedures, and recreate and analyze software problems to contribute to future engineering and development.
Perform analysis, coding, and testing for minor enhancements to existing applications using various programming languages, such as ASP, Unix/C, Java, etc.
Perform diagnostics of problems, troubleshoot and develop technical solutions for customer problems related to software and setup errors.
Trouble-shoot code related production support issues. Make code defect fixes as needed after trouble-shooting.
Handle SQL related production support issues.
Maintain technical and knowledgebase documentation.
Create and execute unit testing scripts as needed to support the Development team.
Execute test plans and test cases as needed to support the Quality Assurance team.
Implement and maintain automated testing scripts and environment.
Develop automation tools to support the Application Development team.
Maintain testing suite; equipment, software, installation, virtual environments, and documentation.
Provide level 1 and 2 support for -developed software applications.
Responsible for administrative and technical support functions for 3rd party software used by internal staff, including TeamTrack and SharePoint.
- Position may be required to perform other duties as required.
