Description
The Program Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of high-risk / complex projects or program initiatives. The Program Manager takes a organizational / strategic approach and pro-actively manages to ensure the objectives of the programs and strategy are met. Working with the PMO Director and peers within the PMO, Program Managers will be responsible for the success of projects and programs within the IS organization. Program Managers will collaborate with the IS business services team, application team, and technical infrastructure team in the delivery of projects as well as any other corporate teams. Will also provide vision, leadership and mentorship for project managers within the PMO. Responsible for analyzing project / program postmortem metrics and leverage results for future project and program process improvements.

Experience/Skills
Bachelors degree is required, technical degree is preferred.

Strong project, process and business management skills, with a minimum 8-10 years experience managing large, complex program efforts.

7+ years leading all phases of a business solution delivery life cycle: planning, analysis, design, build, test, and deployment.

Demonstrates Buck Stops Here mentality.

Leads project teams in the initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of multiple projects within a program.

PMP Certification preferred.

6+ years experience defining and implementing program/project management structures (PMO), processes, and tools and expertise in the practical adoption of SDLC methodologies.

Focus on delivering business solutions (people, process, and technology) that provide value, not just installing technology.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Proven track record of partnering with business management in the delivery of IT enabled business solutions.

Ability to rapidly accept and assimilate changes (organization, process, or technology) and quickly focus on achieving post-change results.

Strong understanding of financial management principles as it relates to project management and delivery of a business case (budget vs. earned progress, capital vs. expense, etc.).

3+ years experience using a project management tool such as ChangePoint, Primavera, Niku, or MS Project.

Experience in business process re-engineering, implementing ERP/CRM systems, and/or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
