Description
Overview:Our client has an exciting opportunity for a candidate with Oracle experience. This opening is most likely a 3 to 6 month contractor position.The candidate will develop specifications for new and existing software systems/applications and sub-systems. Time will be spent creating designs, codes, unit tests, and documents programs, sub-systems and processes. Strong communication and teamwork is necessary as coordination with co-workers, clients, operations, technical support, and vendors will be a requirement. The candidate will also interface with clients to determine requirements, resolve problems, and perform unit testing. Analytical skills will be utilized in order to interpret system and program requirements. Must be able to problem solve with systems and programs. The candidate will be performing training services and preparing presentations along with providing technical direction on projects which require minimal supervision.Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be important. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills will be utilized. Superior problem solving skills and the ability to resolve most of complex problems and errors that occur for processes and applications in a division. The individual needs excellent analytical skills and must possess the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Must be a team player but also have the ability to work independently and with little direct supervision. Must be willing to share on-call responsibilities after office hours.

Experience/Skills
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years of software development experience with Oracle and JAVA, Oracle PL/SQL, relational database and SQL, Object-oriented analysis, design, and implementation, Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets and JDBC. It is preferred that the candidate have knowledge, skills, and abilities in Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Oracle database fundamentals, knowledge of oracle objects and oracle related tools like SQL Loader. Additional preferred knowledge in Entity-Relationship diagrams and database design concepts, Standard Open Source/Web Framework knowledge (Struts, JSF, JUnit, Log4J, etc.).
