Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. Maintain and modify programs. Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology. Refine data and format final product. Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes. Test and develop programming modifications. Write new program code using prescribed specifications. Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part. Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor. Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls. Write and maintain programming documentation. Analyze NT client/server and micro-computer based software solutions compatibility with company requirements. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed. Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference. Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.

The successful candidate requires strong project definition, requirements definition, analysis, design, coding, testing, Technical/system documentation (BAC SDLC and Templates).

Candidate under general direction clearly understands business requirements, translates to technical documentation/specifications, develops applications of complex nature, and modifies/maintains complex existing applications.

Critical to the role is the ability to work independently in a small to large sized team, achieves management/department goals, provide estimates, as is a proficiency in developing/executing, excellent verbal, written communication and negotiation skillsdf-tc


Experience/Skills
o Strong development skills in RPG ILE concepts, RPG Free, RPG III, CL, SQL queries, stored procedures
o Strong knowledge and Development experience in AS400 DB2 database, File Management and SQL Tables.
o Experience in Tools usage such as DBU, HAWKEYE, and Turnover.
o Familiarity with concepts Journal, Data Base Mirror/Replication and Change Management.
o Strong programming and analytical skills with knowledge of two or more development languages/technologies and experience in multi tier architecture
o Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle methodology
o Must be flexible and rapidly moving client focus and must be adept at multitasking and prior working experience in Onsite/Offshore model
o At least 5 years experience in Software Systems Development.
o Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
o Preferred Knowledge of Mortgage Banking or Finance.
o BS or BA Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics or Physical Science
o Experience in Data Mirror, Live Audit, C# and .Net Frame work is added advantage.

Desired Skills and certification:
MCSE, ITIL, Shell scripting, VB Scripting, performance tuning, and remote management of systems.
