United McGill Corporation is a family-owned company, founded in 1951 in Columbus, OH. We are a medium size company with annual sales of about $50 million. With headquarters in Columbus, OH, we have a nationwide team of about 400 associates.

We operate nine manufacturing plants and more than 30 sales engineering offices throughout the United States. The Company has five operating subsidiaries and each has been active for decades.

The individual will design, program, and maintain internal and packaged software systems for sales, engineering, and manufacturing applications. The programming will be done on a microcomputer in a Windows XP environment working with .NET, C, C ++, C#, HTML, and rapid application development tools. The position is located in our Lithopolis, OH office.

Qualifications include a bachelor-s degree in computer science, or the like, C and C++ knowledge, experience with Windows XP, microcomputers, good problem solving skills, and a math background. Windows, database, and Web programming experience a plus.

Hardware - PC (IBM Compatible) and some Controllers
Operating Systems - DOS and Windows XP
Applications - Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Intranet, and Extranet
Functions - Structured and Object Oriented Programming, System Design, Database Management and Documentation (User and System)
Languages - .Net, C, C++, and C #
Database - SQL , Sybase, MySQL
Web Development - HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, IIS, and Apache
Communication/Networking - TCP/IP, Windows Networking
