Description
General Summary:

Work with Autodesk Revit development team to design, develop and maintain next generation CAD system for Architecture, Engineering and Construction market. Expand functionally and usability of the product exploiting the power of building information model. All development will be in C++ using STL, MFC and object-oriented design. The job will be performed under the supervision of a Software Development Manager.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and troubleshoot new geometrical and copy-paste product features
  • Implementation will include user interface as well as framework enhancements
  • Work with Product Management to refine functional requirements for new product features and transform them into behavioral/implementation specs
  • Develop high quality, efficient, stable and reusable code; work on improvement of application performance
  • Learn existing product architecture and build upon it
  • Maintain and enhance existing application; research, internalize and document existing code as necessary


Requirements:

  • A Bachelorâ??s degree or above in computer science, mathematics, or physics with at least two years of programming experience
  • Experience in C++; good object oriented design and programming skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly understand a large body of existing code
  • Adhere to established development process and programming discipline; estimate schedules for projects and complete them on time



Desired Knowledge/Skills:

  • Good problem solving skills and creative thinking
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics in the areas of three dimensional geometry, linear algebra, and numeric algorithms
  • Experience in CAD or other modeling application programming
  • Experience in development of event driven applications and graphical user interfaces
  • Experience in transforming end user requirements into software designs
